Our 4th annual tournament will be held once again at Wooden Sticks, which was voted as Canada’s Best New Golf Course in 2000 by Score Golf Magazine. This course offers a unique and unforgettable golf experience with 12 of its 18 holes inspired by famous golf holes from around the world. In addition to an amazing golfing experience and networking opportunity, this fundraising tournament offers great players’ gift bags, exciting on-course contests, fine food, prize draws and a silent auction.

3rd Annual Golf Tournament
On June 24, 2008, the Durham Children’s Aid Foundation held its 3rd annual Fore the Future Charity Golf Classic at Wooden Sticks Golf Club in Uxbridge. It was a perfect day for the dedicated supporters who came out to enjoy 18 holes of golf at one of the premier courses in Canada.
The tournament was once again a great success, raising over $50,000 in support of post-secondary education for youth in the care of the Durham Children’s Aid Society. We are delighted that the tournament continues to set new fundraising records each year.
Highlights of the tournament included:
- Driving range and pre-game clinic
- Putting contest
- On-course massage compliments of the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy
- Men’s & ladies’ closest to the pin competition
- Men’s & ladies' longest drive competition
- Men's & ladies' closest to the flag competition

- On-course video swing analysis
- Live and silent auction
- Lunch, dinner, raffle, prizes and awards
- An opportunity to win several hole-in-one prizes:
- $10,000, sponsored by Schofield-Aker Limited Insurance
- $10,000 for the golfer, and the tournament green fees for the Foundation,, sponsored by Wooden Sticks Golf Club
- A brand new BMW Series 1 convertible, sponsored by BMW Durham
- A 5-night California golf vacation for two, including airfare and a set of Calloway x-18 irons, sponsored by W.B. White Insurance
