James Pelletier, President
James lives in Whitby with his wife Suzanne and young daughter Laura. He is active in supporting community causes, and is currently the President for the Durham Children’s Aid Foundation. He is a past Executive Board Member for Durham Resources for Exceptional Children and Youth.
James is currently the Senior Account Manager, Commercial Financial Services, RBC Royal Bank Greater Toronto Region. Since joining RBC in 1991, James has held a variety of positions in sales, management, operations, strategic implementation, retail and commercial financial services. Prior to assuming his current role, James was the Senior Account Manager Supply Chain for the Ajax and Pickering market.

Susan Butson-Lewis, Vice-President
Susan currently works with the Ontario Ministry of Revenue as a Senior Manager, Business Development in the Relationship Management and Business Development Branch. Prior to joining the Ontario Government in 2003, she was with CIBC for close to 20 years with her last position being Director, Process Engineering and Technology, Retail Banking Division.
Prior to joining the Durham Children's Aid Foundation, Susan was a member of the board of the Durham Children ’s Aid Society for the 2008 / 2009 fiscal year. Susan resides in Goodwood with her husband Gord and two children Jordan and Jessica.

Kerry-Lynn Novak, Treasurer
Kerri-Lynn Novak is an investment advisor, the owner and operator of the Bowmanville Branch of IPC Securities Corp, a subsidiary of Investment Planning Council Inc. She has spent 25 years in the financial service industry in Durham region. Kerri-Lynn volunteered for the Big Brothers and Sisters of Clarington for 15 years and continues her commitment to children’s charities as Treasurer of the Children’s Aid Foundation.
Kerri-Lynn brings her tax planning expertise to the board in Planned Giving, her business associates to the loyalty card program and her financial product resources to managing the funds of the foundation.

Travis Capes
Travis Capes, married to Sandra for fifteen years. Travis has four children: Spencer, 12; Mason, 10; Reece, 7; and Logan, 4. Travis has lived in Whitby since August 2008 after living 4 years in Calgary Alberta. Having four boys, he is actively involved in minor sports ranging from skiing in the winter to cross country in the summer and fall.
Travis is currently holding the position of Regional Vice President for RBC in Durham. His overall responsibility includes management of 12 retail branches in Whitby, Oshawa, Courtice, Bowmanville and Port Perry, along with both Financial Planning and Small Business teams throughout Durham.
Over the yearsTravis has been involved with several not-for-profit/charitable organizations including Community Living, United Way, Junior Achievement, Big Brothers, and YWCA to name a few.

Laura Francis
Laura received her BA in English and History from Concordia University in Montreal. She worked for a decade organizing special events for several professional sport leagues in both Canada and the US and is now a full-time writer. Her work has appeared in The Globe and Mail, Chatelaine and Harrowsmith.
Laura is a resident of Port Perry and with her husband, Tim, is the proud parent of two young children, Benoit and Xenia. She is active in supporting local community initiatives and is a volunteer for a French learn-to-read program at her children's school.
